The Mickey shaped cornfield that was grown in Iowa for Mickey Mouse's 60th birthday is the subject of a new documentary produced by the Buena Vista University Digital Media program. Growing Magic: The Mickey Mouse Cornfield Story will premiere on March 28, 2019 in Anderson Auditorium on the Buena Vista University campus at 8:00pm. The premiere follows a presentation by Troy Lindquist, son of Jack Lindquist. Jack was the VP of Disneyland Marketing when he came up with the cornfield promotion. Troy will talk about his own experiences at Disney plus other great marketing and communication stories. His presentation will be at 7:00pm before the premiere of the documentary about his father's big idea that brought Disney to Iowa in 1988.
